Song Cover, Rollout, and Music Video
Tyler Petrossi approached me with the challenge of translating his single "Numb" into a compelling visual experience. The song explores themes of emotional detachment and loss, and the goal was to create a music video that would deepen the listener's connection to the track while visually capturing its vulnerability and rawness. The visuals needed to reflect the song’s emotional weight without overwhelming the subtlety of its message.
I took on the roles of Creative Director, Art Director, and Editor to lead the development of the video from concept to completion. My focus was on building a narrative that reflected the song’s emotional arc through stylized cinematography and thoughtful pacing. I also helped shape the visual tone of the project through color, composition, and texture, crafting a film that could stand on its own while reinforcing the meaning behind the music.
I collaborated closely with Tyler to understand the emotional foundation of the track. Together, we developed a detailed moodboard and narrative outline that guided the visual language of the video. With a lean, focused team, I directed and filmed the video, handling art direction on set to ensure that every frame communicated a sense of tension and internal stillness.
Post-production involved editing with attention to rhythm and emotion, aligning the visual transitions with the structure of the track. Beyond the video itself, I supported the release with a visual rollout strategy, designing promotional assets that echoed the film’s atmosphere and extended its reach across social platforms. The final result is a cohesive creative package that visually amplifies the personal and emotional resonance of "Numb."
