Zine & Music Video, Accompanying Album Rollout
Artist KeyzVango approached me with his unreleased album LATE, asking me to design a suite of assets and printed matter to accompany the album’s rollout. As he played me each track and shared the stories behind them, we explored visual tones and narrative threads. I pitched the concept of weaving each song’s music video into a single, continuous short film that captures the album’s flow with a companion zine revealing the behind-the-scenes layers, hidden easter eggs, and creative process that shaped both the tracks and the visuals.
Paired with the film, the zine extends the cinematic world through carefully designed layouts featuring lyrics, set design notes, visual breakdowns, and subtle details that reward closer looking. I led the design and creative direction for this tactile companion piece, bridging music and storytelling to give fans a richer, immersive glimpse into the project’s layered narrative.
To guide the visual direction, I created a series of detailed moodboards to reflect the distinct emotion, tone, and palette of an individual song. These boards became the blueprint for the set design, cinematography, and layout choices, ensuring every visual element resonated with the music’s atmosphere.
LATE; The Film is an eight-part, moody, interpretive short I screenwrote and art directed, crafted to mirror the album’s journey of self-discovery.
